It's all over!

Wow, what weather we had thrown at us, but what a fantastic atmosphere it produced.  You could almost hear people cheer when the sun eventually came out.

We had over 1000 visitors and took approximately £7,500 on the day, which will enable us to start the first phase of the church refurbishment.

The Maiden Newton stall also did well raising a couple of hundred pounds for the St Mary's Fire Fund.

Many, many thanks to all the volunteers who gave their time and the sponsors who gave so generously, without whom the event would not have been a success.

Paul Atterbury was a star, patiently waiting while we tried to contain the chaos and giving us an incite into the similar problems faced by the church at Eype, thank you Paul.

Thanks also to the stall holders with their wonderful selection of goods, who set up in a torrential down pour.  From the feed back I have had so far, it was worth it and a good day was had by all.

Exact amounts raised will be published here when all of the costings are known.

If we can make it such a success against all the odds, then we think it's worth doing again, but perhaps bi-annually....watch this space!
